Tour De Hmuifang 2nd edition flagged-off by Pu Robert Romawia Royte

It is worthwhile to mention that, the Association participated for the first time in the 2nd Northeast Olympic Games recently held in Shillong Meghalaya had bagged 2 medals- Bronze in Men’s Elite X Co category and Bronze in - the Junior XCO Category.

Mizoram tourism and sports minister Shri Robert Romawia royte has officially flagged off the 2nd edition of the “Tour De Hmuifang”  which is being held in collaboration with the Department of Tourism and sports as part of International Tourism Mart on 18 November 2022 at R.dengthuama indoor stadium premises in aizwal. It is a 2- day event where the participants will halt the night at Thenzawl Golf course. 

Mizoram Cycling association (MiCA) affiliated with the Mizoram State Sports Council was established in the year 2015. Since its inception, the association has been working tirelessly to promote cycling in Mizoram among all age groups. It has been largely successful and cycling has been taken up as a serious sports discipline and as a hobby among all age groups in the state.

At present, there are around 600 members in the association and Every year the association conducts several state-wide races including road, cross-country and downhill categories. 

It is worthwhile to mention that, the Association participated for the first time in the 2nd Northeast Olympic Games recently held in Shillong Meghalaya, 14 cyclists participated as members of the Mizoram team. The Mizoram cyclists bagged 2 medals- Bronze in Men’s Elite X Co category and Bronze in - the Junior XCO Category.

The closing ceremony of the 2nd edition of “Tour De Hmuifang” will be held on 19th November 2022 at Thenzawl Golf Course.
