15 Lives Lost 43 Wounded: Pakistan’s Artillery Rain Hits Poonch and Tangdhar

Pakistan Army's unprovoked artillery shelling since last night in Poonch and Tangdhar has killed 15 innocent civilians and injured 43 others targeting homes and public areas in a major ceasefire violation.

BHARAT: In yet another blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement the Pakistan Army resorted to heavy artillery shelling across the Line of Control since late last night targeting civilian areas in the border regions of Poonch and Tangdhar The unprovoked assault has led to the tragic loss of 15 innocent civilian lives and left 43 others grievously injured.

 

According to official sources the shelling began around midnight and continued intermittently till early morning Residential houses markets and schools bore the brunt of the Pakistani firepower Emergency services and local administration are actively engaged in rescue operations evacuating residents from vulnerable areas and rushing the injured to nearby hospitals.

 

Children women and elderly citizens were among the casualties a senior official stated expressing deep anguish over the civilian toll.

The Indian Army has responded in a calibrated manner targeting Pakistani military posts responsible for the shelling High level security reviews are underway to ensure the safety of border residents and assess further retaliatory actions.

 

The repeated targeting of civilians by Pakistan is being viewed as a desperate attempt to destabilize peace in Jammu and Kashmir Condemnation poured in from across the country with leaders calling for strong diplomatic and military responses.

 

This incident marks one of the deadliest ceasefire violations in recent years starkly exposing Pakistans continued disregard for international norms and human rights along the Line of Control.
